Blaine Marine Park
The project is possible from a generous grant from the Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District #2, the Blaine Chamber of Commerce, and funding from the City of Blaine. Volunteers are looking to raise $92,000 to complete both the Ship and Lighthouse next spring. Thanks to generous donations already received, funding for the Ship is almost complete, but we can save valuable dollars by doing both the Ship and Lighthouse at once. The Lighthouse is also dependent on a pending grant application from the Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Rec District 2.

Georgia-Pacific eventually puchased the mill and continued running it until 2001. Today, the tanks are an iconic park of the Bellingham waterfront and make for a great photo background.
